ABOUT

Urândia Aragão is a portuguese interdisciplinary artist. She studied graphic and interface design at ESAD/Caldas da Rainha (1996/01) and at Universitat Pompeu Fabra-ELISAVA/Barcelona (2004/05) before starting her training in Performing Arts - Dance Research and Choreographic Creation at Forum Dança, eira33 and Re.al/ Lisbon (2007/12).
Since then she has been developing her work in the field of design, visual and performing arts. Her research confronts different modes of inscription (drawing, writing, photography and video) with body-based work. She explores the interface of performance as a search for new modes of relation and collective experience. Her work happens in the interface between art and life.
