Intermittencies
:: The project
The idea of this project is linked to the notion of interval, interruption; the suspension of something that possibly is continued in another time. In this project we intended to reflect on the idea of ??interruption as a part of a working process, as something that interferes with the pace of production and reflection, but also as a goal of expanding the notion of time as a transversal element of human existence. Time appears in this project as a building element, as a support for our actions. All project interventions were presented as an archeology of invisible work that is in direct relation to the work that one decides to assume as a public face of a project: everything that is set in motion and that is grouped under the pretext of producing a choreographic piece. The key words for the creation process were: time, production and work.
:: The creation process
This project was developed in a series of intermittent residencies during 2015/2016 in different spaces of the Teatro Municipal do Porto - Rivoli. It was an open working process mixing visibility and invisibility, presence and absence, a temporality game in permanent exchange with the spaces of interaction and with the publics that could interact with each new moment.
:: Intermittent Actions
The creation process was intended to create a repertoire of intermittent performing actions (Intermittences # 01, # 02 and # 03, etc), continuous moments around the production of this choreographic piece, causing various types of settings among its participants. The intermittent actions occurrences have preceded and announced the final presentation (in february 2016), taking different formats of presentation and pursuing an investigation that blends fictional modes of discourse production. The project presents a web of intersecting points, such as: The idea of useless work, improdutive bodies and the reappropriation of time.
