I like to think of choreography as a collection of events, and of the performer as a sort of curator that selects, arranges and presents these events. I am mostly interested in processes of appropriation, of re-writing, of exhibition, of translation, of interpretation, of production of new relations, even sheer piracy.
I think of a spectacle as a moment of crisis, as a moment in-between overtly calculated courses. The event’s initial expectations allows us for the entrance in a privileged space of relationships, reformulations, transformations.
I am interested in a body of assorted qualities, a body at one time reversible and unbalanced, a body than encloses its own possibilities of being reconstructed. An accidented territorial body, as it were, through which one must open new accesses.
