This work thrives on the repression of sexual energy, and its confrontation with the religious and romantic fantasy that only finds “redemption” in a kind of sacrifice of self-mutilation. It is work that has an erotic charge very similar to what we lived, or at least I’ve lived in our Catholic past, full of Our Lady of Fatima and hell half orgasmic, half redeemers. Saturday 2 is a work essentially selfish, the other is there to give relief to our fantasies, we sympathize with the thinking that we suffer from love, but it was just imagination and social convention. This is where the text enters to highlight the stereotype of social conventions, to banality of words and even of feelings, often fleeting and virtual. In short, in this piece I tried to explore the empty whirl of the individual facing himself, taking the link with the divine as a sort of redemptive power. Author’s work is not limited to greater or lesser impact that the creations may have when they are created. Dance is the art which is most affected by the ephemeral. This principle must be defeated, not only because many works need time to be truly learned, as it is also essential to be able to review what is back to better locate the present. Then I have no doubt that the language that identifies an author makes sense only when there is longevity. Perhaps this is the biggest factor for recognition and independence to the greed of fashions, trends and markets. We celebrate our fifteenth anniversary. “Saturday 2” was our first and very emblematic work. It can only make sense to recover it and share it with all who enjoy dance and its very special ability to be timeless. To the untrained eye, it will certainly be a happy discovery, for those who have seen it will be a festive time as those in which we review a loved one who returns after a long absence.
