"Peak Leisure Park"
What is an ensemble without a choreographer? How does an ensemble in which each member defines their own contribution function? How does the idea of an aesthetic unit change, if ten dance makers have equal decision making power over a piece during a three-month long production phase? What is the basis of such an unusual situation?
The project ensemble PET_1 gives room to these questions to resonate in the artistic work. Bodies move other bodies and in doing so transform into unstable units leaning against each other. A body with six feet crisscrosses the stage, to shortly after fall apart into individual components that now seize the space. The space itself becomes a choreographed, constantly transforming frame. Multiple spaces with contrary perspectives emerge one after another, only to immediately dissolve again.
