LUIZ ANTUNES was born in Lisbon, Portugal.
Studied music at the Lisbon Conservatory of Music and Covilhã, having completed the piano course and starting his studies in dance with Jorge Levy and Joclécio Azevedo, the Ballet Theatre of Porto teachers and later in Studio School Anna Mascolo which has a key role in its formation. Degree in Dance from the Faculdade de Motricidade Humana – Universidade de Lisboa, is a candidate for the title of Master in Cultural Management at ISCTE Business School. Their training was supplemented by courses at the school of the Paris Opera and the School of Jacques Lecoq in the same city, as well as workshops and internships, national and international, contemporary dance, composition, theater and drama, as well as classes of former Ballet Gulbenkian, where he was a trainee under the direction of Iracity Cardoso and Paulo Ribeiro. He worked with several artists and teachers such as Anna Mascolo, João Fiadeiro, Né Barros, René Bon, Winthrop Corey, Tânia Carvalho, Allan Falieri, Iratxe Ansa, Olga Roriz, André e.Teodósio, Rogério Nuno Costa and other .
Between 2005 and 2007 was choreography assistant Company Olga Roriz. And taught at Anna Mascolo dance studio-school as Assistant Professor for several years.
As a choreographer develops his work since 2006.
Literary magazine was guest editor of Textos e Pretextos -11 "Choreo-spellings" of Comparative Studies Centre of the Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa, with whom he has collaborated regularly and where Art Coordinator. Their work extends to training having worked with several schools and has been presented throughout the national territory as well as in other European countries.It has published research papers and Dance analysis in journals in the field both nationally and internationally.
